On handover day, you (the customer) must be present to take delivery of the car and enter their PIN, even if you do not drive, as you will be entering into a legal agreement. The only exception to this is if you have an appointee, and they can collect the car for you. Do not give your PIN to anyone (excluding your appointee). If there is any reason you are unable to collect the car (e.g. you are in hospital), the collection must be delayed until you are able to attend the dealership.
