Find a car guide

Our search tool makes it easy to find a car that suits you.

You can change filters to suit your budget, needs, and preferences. Or use a combination of these to narrow down your search.

You'll see search results grouped by the car make and model, and the lowest-priced options first.

Next, you’ll see the different options available, and specific information about each car.

You can also save your favourites so you can find them quickly next time you visit. Just select the heart next to them. They’ll stay in your favourites for as long as they’re still available on the Scheme.

If you want to compare the cars you're interested in, just select ‘Compare’. You'll be able to compare three at a time if you're using a desktop computer or two if you're on a mobile.

Once you’ve found a car you like

Visit your local Motability Scheme dealer to check if your choice suits you. They’ll talk about adaptations, arrange test drives and place the order for you.

We know choosing a car is a big decision, so bring someone with you to talk things over with, if you can. If anyone else is ever going to drive your car, they should test drive it too.

Take your time, try everything and ask questions. It’s all about finding the car that works best for you.

Here are a few things to think about.

Things to check in the car

  • You can get in and out comfortably
  • Check how the door opens and how high you are from the ground
  • The headroom is enough and how you adjust the seat

  • You can reach the seatbelt
  • You can see all the mirrors
  • You can load the boot and there’s enough room to store things

  • You like the car’s special features
  • Whether there are any adaptations you might need

Things to check on the road

  • If you have a driver, get them to test drive it too
  • If you often travel with passengers, ask them to sit in the car too

  • If you’re near, try driving to places you go to often
  • You can reverse, park and hill start
