Notification of a customer passing away

We understand it may be difficult for you to call us to let us know that someone has passed away, so if you need to contact us for this reason please complete the form below.

We will then be in touch within three working days to discuss the next steps for ending the lease agreement and arranging for the return of the car. You will also need to contact the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

If you are using the Government's 'Tell Us Once' service to notify organisations such as the DWP and DVLA, you must let us know first so that we can ensure named drivers can continue using the vehicle until it is returned.

To enable us to locate the agreement information for the customer who has passed away, please enter the car registration number and the customer's postcode. If known, please also enter their Customer Reference Number.

Your Customer Reference Number (CRN) is 8 digits long and can be found at the top of any letter you have received from Motability. If you don’t know your CRN, then please enter the registration number of your Motability vehicle in the next field.
