Report your breakdown to the RAC
First, you need to report your breakdown, so the RAC can send someone to help you.
Four out of five breakdowns are resolved at the roadside, but if your car does need to be recovered, the RAC will manage everything. From getting you home to repairs or replacement travel.
You can report your breakdown online(opens in a new window). You’ll only need to enter a few details. You'll get a confirmation call and text, plus regular updates on their arrival.
Or download the myRAC app(opens in a new window). This is the easiest way.
Even if you’re not sure where you are, report it using the app and the RAC will know exactly where to find you. RAC will start finding a local patrol for you straight away.
Whether you report it online or in the app, you'll get a confirmation call and text, plus regular updates on their arrival.
Or you can call RAC Motability Assist direct on 0800 73 111 73. They'll try to get someone out to you within 45 minutes, but this can vary at busy times.
