Over the past 35 years, Motability has helped over three million people get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a car, scooter or powered wheelchair.

Are you eligible?
If you are disabled, you may be able to exchange your mobility allowance to get a vehicle that suits your needs. What’s more you don’t even need to drive. Family, friends or carers can drive on your behalf.

Choose your vehicle
Once you’ve confirmed your eligibility and are happy that Motability is right for you, you can choose from over 2,200 cars and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), and hundreds of scooters and powered wheelchairs, many of these available at no more than the cost of your weekly allowance.

Whether you’re looking for a car, a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV), a scooter or powered wheelchair, there are nearly 5,000 Motability specialists in the UK, who can help you find the right vehicle for your needs.

Changes to your mobility allowance

Rt Hon Philip Hammond, Secretary of State for Defence, and MP for Runnymede and Weybridge, presented the keys of a new Motability car to constituent Jacqueline Lewis. The presentation took place on Friday 24 May at Now Vauxhall Addlestone, New Haw Rd, Surrey.
