Welcome to Motability
Over the past 35 years, Motability has helped over three million people get mobile by exchanging their mobility allowance to lease a car, scooter or powered wheelchair.
Are you eligible?
If you are disabled, you may be able to exchange your mobility allowance to get a vehicle that suits your needs. What’s more you don’t even need to drive. Family, friends or carers can drive on your behalf.
Choose your vehicle
Once you’ve confirmed your eligibility and are happy that Motability is right for you, you can choose from over 2,000 cars and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), and hundreds of scooters and powered wheelchairs, many of these available at no more than the cost of your weekly allowance.

One Big Day and The Big Event
Hosted by Motability, One Big Day and The Big Event showcases Motability vehicles and gives you a unique opportunity to test drive cars with adaptations. Our events in 2014 will be bigger and better than ever before!
Changes to your mobility allowance
As part of the planned changes to disability benefits, the government is introducing a new allowance, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) , which you can use to lease a vehicle with Motability. PIP will replace Disability Living Allowance for disabled people aged between 16 and 64 over the next five years.
