A team of cyclists from companies RSA Motability, DWF, Autoglass and Motability Operations recently completed a 285 mile trip from Liverpool to Bristol in three days raising over £7,000 for charities Motability, the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.

Thank you to everyone who took part in Get Your Kit On during the World Cup in June. So far we have raised over £3,000 for Motability and a further £2,000 has been pledged.
Charles Hurst Fundraisers
A BIG THANK YOU to the Charles Hurst group in Belfast who presented Motability with a cheque for £4,000 last month. This money was raised by staff at the dealership giving up their time doing all sorts of activities like sponsored waxing and bag packing at their local supermarket on Christmas Eve! In 2010, Charles Hurst have pledged to break their fundraising record for Motability and raise even more funds.
Tour De Sweden!
In June Motability supporter Hugh Beaton completed a 300km Bike Ride in Sweden raising over £600 for Motability along with a team of six employees from BAE Systems who raised in total of £3,000 for various charities. The event is called Vatternrudan and is the biggest recreational cycle ride in the world, its 300Km (187 Miles) long with 20,000 participants all racing against the clock to complete the challenge, Hugh completed this in 10hrs 17mins. Well done and thank you Hugh!
5-a-side Football Fever!
Motability’s annual 5-a-side football event took place on Saturday 5 June at the Powerleague Soccerdome in Derby. The event raised a fantastic £19,000 for Motability’s Charitable Grants programme. The winners of the tournament were a team from Ai Claims Solutions who won a football hospitality day kindly donated by Autoglass. The runners up were RSA Motability who won tickets to the Selco North West Masters and the Plate Competition was won by a team from RSA Bristol.
This year teams played along side football legends, Peter Beagrie, Grahame Stuart, Mark Robinson and Dean Windass.
Thank you to all the teams who took part and the organisations who donated prizes Selco and Autoglass.

Motability is once again hosting its annual 5-a-side Football Charity Challenge sponsored by RSA. Enthusiastic adult players with all levels of football skills are needed to take part in the tournament which will help raise money for disabled people across the UK. The football challenge will take place on Saturday 5th June 2010, at the Powerleague Soccerdome, Pride Park, Derby.
