  3. Sir Tom Cowie Charitable Trust supports disabled people in Sunderland with a donation to Motability

    Motability has received a £1,245 donation from the Sir Tom Cowie Charitable Trust to help disabled people in Sunderland. The funds will be used to support those Motability Scheme customers who cannot afford the right car or adaptations for their needs and provide help with the cost of driving lessons.

    RSA presents Motability with adapted assessment vehicle in Liverpool

    Following a busy year of fundraising, leading insurer RSA has raised £57,895 for Motability. The funds have helped to buy a heavily adapted Mercedes Benz Sprinter that will be used by Motability to assess the needs of disabled people at their own homes.

  5. Insurance excess changes

    Motability Operations recently wrote to Car Scheme customers about changes to the terms and conditions of their contract hire agreement. These changes relate to excess payments that need to be paid in the event of an insurance claim. 

    As you know, an insurance excess is a payment which you make towards repairs when an insurance claim is made.

    For example, if the damage to your car amounts to £1,000 and your excess is £100, then you would have to pay the first £100 and RSA Motability (RSAM) would pay the remaining £900 towards the repair of your vehicle.

  6. RSA charity ball in Liverpool raises £24,000 for Motability

    Leading insurer RSA held their annual winter ball and auction on Friday 6 November and raised £24,000 for Motability. Proceeds will support disabled people around the UK who cannot afford the right car or adaptations for their needs and to help customers with driving lessons.
