Personal Independence Payment

How long does it take to get the information pack?

We aim to have our information pack arrive within 7 days from your request. However, this is not always possible due to high demand and the quarterly price changes.

Is there a customer magazine?

Lifestyle is a magazine that is sent free of charge to all Motability customers every three months to keep our customers up to date with all our news. If you are not a customer but would like to receive the magazine, you should send a cheque for £10 to cover 1 years subscription (made payable to The Big Agency Ltd) to: 22 Stephenson Way, London, NW1 2HD.

If you are currently receiving Lifestyle and would prefer not to, please contact our Customer Services team to unsubscribe.

What happens when prices change?

Our price lists are updated every three months so that we can offer our customers the best deals from each manufacturer. We also offer a 'Price Guarantee' meaning the price confirmed at the time of your application is the price you pay even if the price goes up before you collect your car.

The dates the new prices are published are: - 1st January - 1st April - 1st July - 1st October. Please note that if the specification of the car changes after the application, the price may be subject to change. If you feel that there are extenuating circumstances which challenge our price guarantee, please contact our Customer Services team.

Can I get an information pack?

We can send you a free information pack about leasing a car from Motability, which includes our latest car price guide, a personalised local dealer listing and our entertaining DVD 'Easy Driver'. Simply complete the information pack request form . Alternatively you can download copies of all our useful publications if you would like to read more today.

How do Motability Operations collect the payments?

Motability Operations receives the 4 weekly payment for the lease agreement as a direct transfer from the relevant benefits agency.

What is Contract Hire?

Contract Hire is the term used to describe the type of leasing agreement contract Motability offer. All our Contract Hire lease agreements come with our worry-free package . This means that as well as getting a new car of your choice every three years, your package also includes insurance, servicing and maintenance, breakdown cover, as well as tyre and windscreen replacement. The prices for leasing through a Contract Hire agreement can be found through the Car Search tool.

What happens if my allowance has been stopped?

If the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or the Service Personnel and Veterans Agency (SPVA) decide you are no longer eligible for the higher rate mobility allowance , we will not be able to continue to lease a vehicle to you. If that happens, we will work with you to arrange for your vehicle to be returned. We will refund any Advance Payment on a pro-rata basis e.g. if the agreement ended after one year of a three year lease, two-thirds of the Advance Payment would be refunded.

Do I need to tell you if my medical condition changes?

Providing the following conditions are met, you do not need to tell us of any changes to your condition: - Your GP has passed you to drive - You inform the DVLA of your condition - The DVLA have issued you with the appropriate driving licence If you are still receiving your allowance, Motability do not need to be made aware of changes to your care arrangements.

You may want some advice if you need to start to use adaptations to enable you to drive or travel in your car. If the change to your condition has made the car unsuitable, you may wish to request an early cancellation .
