Job title: Facilities Officer

Salary: £19,342 per annum
Location: Harlow, Essex

Job description: Reporting to the Facilities Team Leader you will provide front line Facilities Management (FM) support to Motability staff. Duties are extremely varied and will include post-room and mail, light maintenance, driving duties, reception and telephony duties, porterage, contractor supervision, site and equipment inspections. You will be working on a four-shift roster within a small team and you will also be on call one week in four, including weekends.

You will need to have good communication skills, be computer literate with MS office as well as the ability to prioritise your workload, pay attention to detail and remain calm and focused under pressure.

You’ll be someone who is a good team player, enjoys a wide and varied role within the support services sector and who understands the customer should always be your priority.

Training in all areas will be available for the right candidate however we would especially like to hear from you if you already hold a PCV licence.

Job title: Mobility and Driving Advisor

Salary: £37,417 per annum
Location: Harlow

This post requires extensive UK travel and will involve some overnight stays.

Job description: You will be part of a team of five qualified Approved Driving Instructors based across the United Kingdom advising and helping deliver mobility solutions to our customers as part of the leading Car Scheme for Disabled People. Working primarily in the central region of the UK covering the following postal areas; WD, WF, S, DN, LN, NG, DE, LE, CV, NN, PE and NR. On occasion you will be required to support and cover your colleagues.

You will assess the mobility needs of many of our most disabled customers and produce detailed written reports to inform the Charity’s funding decisions case by case. This will involve working collaboratively with suppliers to the Scheme, medical and occupational professionals and customers, their families and carers. You will also deliver occasional driving tuition to support customers in their new adapted vehicles.

Visiting customers at their homes, attending mobility exhibitions or interacting with sector professionals, you will represent the Charity to a wide range of partners and stakeholders.

As well as developing an expert knowledge of our objectives and supporting policies and procedures, you will embrace Motability’s competencies and behaviours to deliver excellent customer service and mobility and product expertise.

Previous experience of disabled driver and passenger assessment is desirable together with experience of working with vehicle conversion specialists. An ADI qualification is essential.

You will be provided with a vehicle, uniform, extensive training and support whilst in the field.

Job title: Governance Manager

Salary: c£50,000 per annum
Location: Harlow

Job description: Reporting to the Finance and Support Services Director, you will be responsible for all corporate governance issues, reflecting the requirements of the Charity Commission, Motability’s own Royal Charter and other statutory obligations.

This will involve close liaison with Directors and Governors, ensuring the effective organisation of Board, Sub-Committee, and internal management meetings. You will deliver high quality papers for various Committees within tight deadlines which reflect both Motability’s strategy and focus on customer service. In addition, you will take ownership of the regular review and update of the Risk Register, working closely with business managers to monitor the implementation of risk mitigation actions.

Working with the Executive Support team, you will deliver an efficient and effective administrative support service to management, taking on ad hoc projects and research activities.

Together with a degree qualification (or equivalent), you will have experience ideally gained in the charity sector with strong knowledge of best practice in risk management and governance, and be numerate with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

To succeed in this role you should have the ability to communicate and influence at all levels (verbally and in writing), excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency and track record of meeting deadlines.
