Lift or ramp access
Lifts are powered and generally cost more, but could be the better option if getting a wheelchair or scooter up a ramp is difficult. Ramps can be powered if the wheelchair user needs to operate it themselves or manual if a partner or carer can set this up.

Side or rear entry
Where the wheelchair user will access the vehicle from - think about where you frequently park and the amount of space you will have at the rear or side of the vehicle.

WAV types
Choose from a range of wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) makes and models. Models available depend on the make you have selected.
Alternatively, choose the type of WAV you think will be most suitable for your needs. WAVs have been classified as to whether the wheelchair user is a passenger or the driver of the WAV and also by the size of the WAV.

Entry height (cm)
From the floor of the vehicle (where the ramp/lift joins) to the top of the door frame and includes a 50mm buffer.
