When you apply to lease a vehicle on the Motability Scheme, we’ll send you a booklet with the relevant Terms and Conditions. Which booklet we send is determined by the date we accepted your agreement.

Changes to the Motability Scheme will apply to your lease. Your terms and conditions will depend on whether your agreement qualifies for the HMRC VAT relief.
If you get your allowance from Social Security Scotland, these changes will not affect you from 1 July 2026. We'll be in touch when we've confirmed a date with the Scottish Government.
