Can I change my vehicle early?

If you want to change your vehicle, you'll need to call us to talk to us about it.

Leasing a vehicle on the Motability Scheme means you agree to lease it for the full length of the agreement.

If you cancel your agreement

You might need to pay an administration fee of £250.

If you think your vehicle is too small

Remember, larger vehicles might increase your running costs and affect your driving experience.

Have a look into adaptations you can add to your vehicle first, so it suits your needs more.

If you’re finding your vehicle is too expensive to run

Look at how much it would cost to use alternative transport first, like taxis. It might be cheaper to keep your Scheme vehicle.

Remember, you can have up to three drivers on your lease, so someone else could drive your vehicle, as long as it benefits you.

Whatever your reasons, there might be a solution that means you do not need to change your vehicle.

If you keep cancelling your agreements with us, it can affect whether you're eligible to join the Scheme in the future.
