Should I repair every mark on my vehicle before I give it back?

If your car is damaged

You need to report any damage to your vehicle, big or small, to Direct Line Motability (DLM), in your Motability Scheme Online account.

They'll assess the damage and let you know if it needs repairing. If the damage is minor, DLM may take the details for their records as a 'Repair not Required' (RNR) instead of logging a claim, they will advise where this is appropriate.

Please do not try to 'touch up' the paintwork with pens or aerosols, as this could damage the paintwork.

You can register an insurance claim in your Motability Scheme online account. Under 'Insurance' in the menu, visit the DLM insurance portal. You'll be signed in automatically. Then go to 'Claims' to get started.
