What is ‘Go’?
Called Go for short, our new app gives you access to over 65,000 public chargepoints from over 70 different operators across the UK.
You can find public chargepoints and pay for charging using the app or by ordering a Go Charge card.
There’s lots of other handy features too:
- Use maps to find and get directions to chargepoints
- Filter chargepoints based on connecter type and speed
- Check if chargepoints are available
- Control and pay for your charging session
- Track your charge progress
- Re-order, freeze and unfreeze your Go Charge card
- Use webchat to get support
You’ll get all this as part of your all-inclusive package and this is just the beginning. We’ll be adding more features to our app over time.

Your Go app
How to log in
Log into your Go app using your Motability Scheme online account details.
How to add a payment card
Add a payment card to the app so you are ready to charge your vehicle.
- Go to ‘My wallet’ in the Go app and choose ‘Add payment card’
- Enter your card details
- Choose ‘Set up payment card’
Your Go Charge card
Your Go Charge card makes it easy to start and stop charging sessions by tapping the card on a compatible charge point.
How to order a Go Charge card
- Go to ‘My wallet’ in the Go app
- Choose the ‘Go Charge card’ tab
- Choose ‘Order a Go Charge’
- Check your postal address is right
You can have one Go Charge card per customer.

- Go to ‘My wallet’ in the Go app
- Choose ‘Activate your card’
- Hold your Go Charge card to the back of your phone
- Choose ‘Order a Go Charge’
- Check your postal address is right
How to start, stop and pay for charging
Charging with your Go app
- Find a compatible chargepoint in the Go app
- Plug the charger into your vehicle
- Tap ‘Start your charge’ in the Go app
- When you’re done, tap ‘Stop your charge’ and confirm you’re happy
- We’ll take payment from the card you added to your Go app wallet

- Find a compatible chargepoint
- Plug the charger into your vehicle
- Tap your Go Charge card on the chargepoint
- When you’re done, tap your Go Charge card on the chargepoint again to stop charging
- We’ll take payment from the card you added to your Go app wallet
FAQs
Can I use my old Go charge card?
No. If you’re using our current Go Charge app and card, you’ll need to download our new app and order a new card. When you download the new Go app, you’ll be able to set up your payment details and order a new Go Charge card. You can charge your car directly using the app whilst you wait for your new card to arrive.
From 30 November, your existing Go Charge card will stop working. To remove your details from the current app, simply delete it from your device. Your details will be permanently deleted when we shut down the app.

We’ve taken everything you liked about Go Charge and made it even better. By bringing it into the new Go app, we’ve expanded the number of chargepoints and introduced smarter, easier-to-use features.
Go with the Motability Scheme will continue to grow as we add new features. This means you’ll have the latest tools and support for charging on the go.
