British Sign Language Video Relay Service provided by InterpretersLive!

For Deaf customers who have an enquiry about the Motability Scheme, British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters can relay communication between you and our Customer Services team.

You can use this service if you are a BSL user with access to a PC or Mac with a standard webcam, a smartphone or a tablet. Please ensure that you can meet the minimum requirements, outlined in the 'how it works' section.

You can use this service to:

  • Check the status of your application with the dealer if you are ordering a car
  • Handle all matters relating to your agreement if you are an existing customer
  • Make a complaint or an appeal to rejoin the Scheme

You can also pre-book BSL Video Interpreters and other types of remote communication support for anytime and anywhere via any video platform.

Service availability

Our InterpretersLive! video service hours are 8am–12am, 7 days a week. If an Interpreter is not immediately available, you can hold or retry later. Outside of these hours please contact us to pre-book an Interpreter who can be online within 30 minutes.

Minimum requirements

This service is accessible via a Windows supported devices and Apple Mac.

If you would like to connect via an iPad/iPhone/android tablet, please download the compatible appOpens in new window and once registered enter '' into the search box and click to make a video call. An interpreter will then answer and connect your call to us.

The service is compatible with the following browsers; Google Chrome version 46 and later, Firefox version 45 and later, Opera version 39 and later. If you are using Safari 9 or Internet Explorer 11, when prompted please download the plugin. You will only need to do this once, next time you will be taken straight to the call button.
