What countries can I take my car on holiday to?

You can take your Scheme car abroad within the European Union and to Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein free of charge for up to 90 days in any 12 month period. It is important to request and remember to pack your VE103 certificate, which confirms you can use your Motability Scheme car while abroad and is valid for 12 months. You can request this by calling the RAC on 0800 731 3310.

You will also need to take a Green Card with you when you travel to prove your vehicle is insured. A Green Card will be sent to you by RSA Motability (RSAM) when you request your VE103 from the RAC, unless you live in Northern Ireland, in which case RSAM will issue you with a Green Card at the start of your agreement.
