Request copy of your logbook / V5c registration certificate
If you are a Motability Scheme customer, your V5c vehicle registration certificate or 'log book' is held by us so that we can tax your car automatically.
If you are not a Motability Scheme customer, you can request a replacement certificate from the DVLAOpens in new window .
COVID-19 update: We are currently unable to send a copy of your V5c if you have contacted us on or after 23 March 2020 to update your name or address. This is because the DVLA are currently working through a backlog of requests and may not have updated your details yet. We will provide further updates when we have more information.
Your registration certificate should show your current name and address. Please let us know if you have changed any of these details .
A V5c is sometimes required for toll exemptions or parking permits. If you need a copy of your V5c, please complete our form below. We will send it within two weeks from the date of your request. Please note if you have recently taken delivery of your vehicle, this could take up to three weeks, as the DVLA need to send us the registration certificate.
