How do I end my lease or give my vehicle back early?

When you lease a vehicle on the Motability Scheme, you agree to keep it for the full length of the agreement.

Ending it early means you'll need to pay a £250 administration fee. If this happens more than once, it could affect your future eligibility for the Scheme.

Before making any changes, it’s worth exploring other options:

• Too small? Try adding adaptations to help the vehicle suit your needs better. Keep in mind that larger vehicles may cost more to run and could change your driving experience.
• Too expensive to run? Compare the cost of alternatives like taxis, keeping your Scheme vehicle might still be the cheaper option.
• Need help with driving? You can add up to three named drivers, as long as the vehicle is used for your benefit.
