Do I have to pay the congestion charge?

If you have a vehicle with the disabled tax class

You do not need to pay the congestion charge.

If you pay for your own tax or you're using a replacement vehicle

You can apply for an exemption from the congestion charge with your blue badge. You can register up to two vehicles for a £10 fee.

You’ll need to pay for any other fines or charges you get.

 

From 25 December 2025, TFL will stop their cleaner vehicle discount for electric vehicles (EVs). If you use your disability exemption on your Scheme vehicle, you will not need do or pay anything.
