When will I get my insurance documents? 

After you get your vehicle, we'll send you all your insurance documents.

If someone needs to drive your car unexpectedly, you can add an emergency driver for up to five days. This is only for exceptional circumstances. You can easily see, add or change your drivers, including emergency drivers, in the 'Insurance cover' section of your Motability Scheme online account. Or we can email or post you a cover note, but it might take up to five working days to arrive in the post.

If you make a permanent change of drivers, we'll send you a new full set of insurance documents. This can take up to 10 working days to arrive in the post.

If you need a replacement or duplicate set of documents, you can download and save a copy in the ‘Insurance cover’ section on your Motability Scheme online account. You can also contact our insurance provider to ask for a set.
