My vehicle has adaptations. Can I keep it for longer?

If you have lots of adaptations fitted to your vehicle

You might be able to extend your lease by up to two years.

The easiest way to see your options is in the ‘Current lease' section in your Motability Scheme online account. You’ll see this if you're within the last three months of your lease.

We'll also explain your options in the letter we send to you around three months before the end of your lease.

Some adaptations like boot hoists and person hoists can be transferred

This means you might be able to use them again, if they’re compatible with your next car.
