    When do I need to pay the Advance Payment?

    Your Motability dealer will require the Advance Payment to be paid in full on the day you collect your new car. If the Advance Payment for your chosen car is substantial, your dealer may ask for a deposit to be paid once your application has been accepted. Any deposit paid will be deducted from the outstanding balance on the day you collect your car. Your dealer can let you know which payment methods they accept. If you wish to pay by personal cheque, this should be given to your dealer at least 7 days in advance of collecting your car, to allow time for funds to clear. The Advance Payment is not a refundable deposit, it is the remainder of the cost of the agreement that is not covered by your allowance paid to Motability over the length of the agreement.
