At the beginning of your lease
The Motability Scheme aims to provide you with worry-free motoring, so as a customer, we hope that you and your families are enjoying the freedom and independence that your WAV provides. To make sure you get to the most of your lease, watch this quick film which outlines what is included.
We're here to help and support you throughout your lease, so in case you’ve missed a few things, we’ve summarized a list of key points to remember.
1. WAV handbook
Before your new WAV is delivered, we'll send you a welcome pack which includes your WAV handbook. This contains all of the information that you need to know about your lease. If you’d also like an electronic copy of this, you can download it here .
2. Your WAV supplier
The specialist WAV supplier who converted your vehicle is your first point of contact for any issues with your WAV during your lease. As part of our worry-free motoring promise, on top of your regular vehicle service, your WAV supplier will also carry out an annual check for the conversion elements of your WAV. Find out more about WAV servicing .
3. Requesting a V5c
A V5c is sometimes required for toll exemptions or parking permits. If you need a copy of your V5c, please complete the online form . Please note, this could take up to three weeks to process as the DVLA need to send us the registration certificate before we can send you a copy.
4. Updating your details online
If any of your details change throughout your lease, you can update these on our website .
5. Useful contacts
Along with our Scheme partners, we’re here to support you throughout your lease. You can save some useful numbers to your phone in just a few seconds, by downloading the contacts .
6. Good condition bonus
If you return your WAV in good condition at the end of your lease, you could be eligible to receive our Good Condition Bonus. The amount you receive depends on the length of the agreement: it's currently £600 for a three-year lease and £900 for a five-year lease. Find out more about the Good Condition Bonus .
7. Getting your next WAV
Three months before the end of your lease agreement, we will send you a letter to remind you that it is time to choose a new WAV on the Scheme. You can contact your current WAV supplier to start the process, or find a new supplier if you’d like to explore other options.
