New pricing updates

You’ll see updated prices for the new pricing quarter on Monday 1 April. This might be a little later in the day than usual. We'll update this message as soon as we've made the changes.

WAV stands for Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle. This means you can travel in the vehicle while seat in your wheelchair

Arrange a demonstration

The supplier will let you test drive the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle) and they’ll show you how all the features work, like ramps, lifts and tie-downs.

We’ll help you make the right choice

There’s nothing like having a demonstration to see how one Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle compares to another. The supplier will bring a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle to your home, with no pressure to lease or choose that vehicle.

Have someone with you

Make sure the driver and anyone you regularly travel with is with you at your Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle demonstration. If you have a carer, they need to be happy helping you into the vehicle, securing your wheelchair and driving.

Have your equipment ready

If you normally travel with luggage or equipment, have it with you at your demonstration so you can check you have enough space. Practise using the tie-downs to secure your wheelchair in place as some people can find this tricky.

Take a test drive

Visit places you regularly go and drive on roads that you usually drive on, to see if the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle suits your daily life. Park at car parks you regularly visit, and check there's enough space for the ramp, and to get in and out.

Practise using its features

Your Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle supplier will demonstrate how all the features work. Practise with these yourself to check you're comfortable and confident with using them.

Think about the future

Consider whether your needs might change during your lease and whether you might need a bigger wheelchair at some point. As this might impact the size of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle you need, or the how many seats you have for passengers.

Make the most of your test drives

Take your time and try everything out, and ask questions. It’s all about finding the Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle that works best for you. Here are a few things to think about.
